Position Summary: San Diego Zoo Global seeks a dynamic and experienced Natural Lands Manager, reporting to the Director of Plant Collections and Strategy, to lead our efforts in managing and conserving natural lands under the care of SDZG.

Position Description: The Natural Lands Manager performs all job assignments with a positive attitude that supports San Diego Zoo Global’s mission and vision of saving species worldwide by uniting our expertise in plant care, animal care and conservation science with our dedication to inspiring passion for nature and leading the fight against extinction. The Natural Lands Manager performs assigned activities related to managing resources of natural lands under the care of SDZG, primarily the preserved lands adjacent to the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park in North San Diego County and consisting largely of coastal sage scrub. This position reports to the Director of Plant Collections and Strategy.

Representative Duties:

· Coordinates implementation of management plan and spearheads novel research program for invasive species control, native plant restoration, and native animal population recovery
