San Diego County Herbicide Calibration Workshop

Please join the San Diego Weed Management Area's calibration workshop on January 30th, 2019 at the UCCE San Diego Office to learn how to calibrate herbicide sprayers. This workshop will include 2 hours of hands-on calibration training on various pieces of spray equipment. Instruction will include calibrating spray guns as well as backpack sprayers. There will also be 2 hours of classroom instruction on calibration basics and laws and regs.

This workshop is a collaboration between the University of California Cooperative Extension, San Diego County Agriculture, Weights and Measures Department, and the San Diego Weed Management Area.

Registration is $40 and includes lunch. We are applying for 4 hours of Ca DPR CE credits including at least 0.5 hours of laws and regs.

The workshop is open to all land managers who regularly treat weeds and would like to more effectively apply herbicides to target weeds. They will supply equipment to practice calibrating for all attendees. Attendees are welcome to bring their own equipment and it MUST be triple rinsed and clean (inside and outside), dirty equipment will NOT be allowed on site.

The workshop begins at 9:30 and ends at 3:00. Registration will open at 9:20.
