Job Opportunity- Senior Environmental Scientist (CDFW, San Diego)

Under the direction of a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory) the incumbent will identify problems, develop courses of action, and review and prepare documents on issues related to: California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), California Endangered Species Act (CESA), and other environmental laws and regulations related to water rights and water quality; mitigation banking; Natural Community Conservation Plans (NCCPs); habitat conservation plans; regional and local planning codes, ordinances and planning tools; watershed management plans; assess the impacts of projects on habitat and species; develop/review California Endangered Species Act (CESA) incidental take permits and prepare final environmental documents; coordinate with other regional and statewide staff, as well as local and federal partners. The incumbent will function as a member of a regional environmental review and compliance team focused on a major geographic or technical area.
