Job Opportunity - Native Plant Program Scientist (CDFW)

Within the Habitat Conservation Planning Branch (Branch) located in West Sacramento. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Native Plant Program (Program) is hiring an Environmental Scientist to support the conservation and recovery of native plant species. This position leads the review of the status of plants listed as endangered or threatened under California Endangered Species Act (CESA).

A successful candidate will have strong research, analytical, writing, and communication skills. The incumbent will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and have an understanding of California environmental laws and regulations. Training and support will be provided to further develop job specific knowledge.
