Job Opportunity - Assistant Fish/Aquatic Biologist (USFS; Sierra National Forest)

The Sierra National Forest, High Sierra Ranger District in California, is seeking a permanent Fish Biologist GS-0482-9! This position serves as the Assistant Fish/Aquatic biologist in the management of aquatic habitats and is supervised by the District Fish/Aquatic biologist. The High Sierra Ranger District fisheries program primarily deals with aquatic species such as the Yosemite toad (threatened), endangered Sierra Nevada yellow-legged frog, western pond turtle, and Foothill yellow-legged frog (Proposed) and their habitats. Fish work is very limited. The incumbent will supervise field crews and perform routine work in aquatic resource related projects with a focus on reptiles and federally listed amphibians.
