As a means to distribute the $20 million of economic benefit funds, on September 27, 2013, the SANDAG Board of Directors approved the release of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 Call for Projects for the TransNet Environmental Mitigation Program (EMP) Land Acquisition Grant Program. This competitive grant process will request land acquisition project proposals that promote the success of the Natural Communities Conservation Planning Program through conservation of habitat areas critical to promoting endangered species and wildlife movement.
