TRANSNET Land Management Grants

The TransNet Extension Ordinance and Expenditure Plan, as approved by the voters on November 2, 2004, includes an Environmental Mitigation Program (EMP). The EMP is a funding allocation category for the costs to mitigate habitat impacts for regional transportation projects. The EMP is a unique component of the TransNet Extension in that it goes beyond traditional mitigation for transportation projects by including a funding allocation for habitat acquisition, management, and monitoring activities as needed to help implement regional habitat conservation plans.

A total of $2 million will be awarded to projects in two categories: threat reduction stewardship and species and habitat recovery. For more information on TRANSNET EMP Land Management Grant, click here.

SANDAG will host a pre-proposal workshop on November 8, 2017 10am-11:30am to go over the application requirements and to answer questions from potential applicants. The workshop will be held in the Board Room at the SANDAG offices located at 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101. The workshop is not mandatory but you are highly encouraged to attend.
